Travis Normand is an attorney in the firm’s College Station office. He has more than a dozen years of experience in a wide array of business issues and handles both transactional and litigation matters. A dedicated and experienced attorney, Travis brings an extensive background in business and real estate law to the firm. His experience allows him to identify issues and advise clients regarding practices and contractual provisions that proactively mitigate and avoid legal liabilities, thereby reducing the risk of future litigation. Travis prides himself on understanding each client’s unique situation, objectives, and challenges and tailors his guidance to best meet their needs.
Prior to embarking on his legal career, Travis had a successful career in Sports Administration where he worked for the NFL’s Houston Texans and the Texas A&M University Athletics Department. He later owned and operated his own real estate mortgage and financing company before attending law school.
A third generation Aggie, Travis grew up in College Station and attended Texas A&M University (Class of 1999) where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management, and a Master of Science in Marketing. While attending Texas A&M, Travis received the Buck Weirus Spirit Award (which recognizes students who make outstanding contributions to the university through participation in student organizations, Aggie traditions, and university events), was a two-time recipient of the Mays College of Business Distinguished Student Award, played on the Texas A&M rugby team, and participated in many other activities. Travis is also an Eagle Scout and spent many summers working on the Worth Ranch camp staff in Palo Pinto, Texas as well as the camp staff at the Kandersteg International Scout Center in Kandersteg, Switzerland.
Travis lives in College Station with his wife and two children. When he is not practicing law, he can be found attending one of his children’s many events. Travis is also an assistant coach for the Texas A&M rugby team, a regular volunteer at his church where he is currently serving as a member of the Board of Stewards, and he is active in the legal community where he is the Eastern Region Chair for the State of Texas’ Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee.
